Redesign
A redesign basedon where your storeis leaking.
Not a blank slate. Built from your analytics, your drop-off data, and what's already converting well.
The real problem
Most redesigns start from scratch. That's the mistake.
When a store isn't converting, the instinct is to rebuild everything. New design system, new layout, new UX patterns, clean slate. But what usually happens is the team accidentally discards what was working alongside what wasn't.
A redesign should start from data, not from aesthetics. Where are customers dropping off? Which pages are converting above average? What's the actual friction, UX, performance, or trust signals?
That's what the audit stage is for. No redesign work starts until those questions have real answers.
- Start with a new design direction
- Rebuild all pages equally
- Discard existing UX patterns
- Launch and hope conversion improves
- No baseline to measure against
- Starts with conversion data
- Prioritizes highest-impact pages first
- Keeps what was already converting
- Launches iteratively, no big-bang risk
- Before/after measured against real baseline
How it works
Four stages. Data first, design second.
Every decision in the redesign is traceable back to something in the data. Not a preference, not a trend, not what worked on someone else's store.
- 01
Conversion audit
Before any design begins: where are customers dropping off, where are they converting well, what are the actual friction points in your current store. GA4, heatmaps, session recordings, everything that tells us what the data already knows.
- 02
UX strategy
A prioritized plan for which pages to redesign first and why. PDP, cart, and checkout are almost always the highest-impact pages. We agree on what success looks like before touching the design.
- 03
Design and build
UX and UI designed together, not handed off between people. Shopify theme development, or headless if the requirements need it. Mobile-first, performance-conscious, and built to the same standard as the design.
- 04
Launch and measure
Launched against a real baseline so improvement is measurable. A/B testing recommendations for what to test next. Two weeks of post-launch monitoring to catch anything that surfaces after go-live.
What's in scope
The pages that move conversion, not every page equally.
- Homepage
First impression and navigation
Commercial hierarchy, category entry points, above-the-fold trust signals.
- Product page
The conversion decision point
Image layout, variant selection, add-to-cart UX, social proof placement.
- Collection page
Discovery and filtering
Filter UX, sort logic, product card design, pagination vs infinite scroll.
- Cart
Last chance before checkout
Cart drawer vs page, upsell placement, trust signals, remove friction.
- Checkout
Where money is made or lost
Shopify checkout customization, trust signals, mobile payment UX.
- Search
Intent-driven entry point
Results layout, zero-results handling, search-as-you-type UX.
